Cambridgeshire Netball during lockdown

England Netball rise again

Dear Members,
For those of you that are not aware, your current England Netball membership expired on the 31 August 2020.

We can't thank the Netball Family enough for your continued support and patience during these difficult times. You have truly demonstrated that netball is more than just a sport. Without our members and your continued dedication and loyalty, the sport would not have achieved its recent success.

As we look ahead to the 2020/21 season and the beginning of the new membership year, England Netball is asking for your support during these uncertain times. The #RiseAgainmovement is a call for people to sign up to 2020/21 membership to help safeguard netball's future.

For those members that have already purchased their membership, I want to thank you. I am truly overwhelmed by the number, that despite the uncertainty, have pledged their support to help netball #RiseAgain.

For those members that wish to pledge their support and sign up for their membership, you will be able to purchase this through your account on the Engage system. If you are having any trouble accessing or with the process, then please let either your club secretary or County Affiliation Officer Debbie George should be able to assist.

England Netball is asking wherever possible that you pledge the full price of membership to help your sport through these uncertain times. For those who choose to pay the full membership fee between 03 August and 30 September 2020, England Netball would like to thank you in a unique way; they will print your name on the court for the next Vitality Roses home international series to proudly show all the names of those members who came together to help netball #RiseAgain.

However, they also recognise that some members of our Netball Family have suffered financial hardship this year, so, for this reason, they have offered an optional 30% discount* to those who need it, to ensure that everyone who wants to, can enjoy our sport. If you chose to, simply use code RISE2020before 30 September 2020, at the checkout.

As a County Netball Association, Cambridgeshire (CCNA) are backing England Netball in this campaign and has pledged to do all we can to help our members show their support. This has resulted in a collaboration with Netball East to launch the "Together we will make Netball Rise Again in the East" campaign. This provides further financial subsidies for those experiencing financial difficulties. Information on this fund and the application form can be found in the attached documents.

If anybody has any questions or concerns, then please contact me directly on olivia.petherick@gmail.com

England Netball guidance

England Netball is delighted to announce that the Government has given the green light to accelerate the return of the sport through a modified version of the game.

What does this mean for me?

This is a great first step towards the return of  netball. Whilst we know netballers the length and breadth of the country have been working hard on their fitness during lockdown, we know it just isn’t the same as working out alongside your teammates.

Find out more about stage 4a and the modified rules via the England Netball website.
