On Sunday Cambridgeshire  travelled to Norwich for a match against the Norfolk county B team . With numbers low,  the county B team managed to produce a great performance and achieved a great win.
In the first quarter , Cambridgeshire managed to go goal for goal with great centre passes from Darcey,  finishing the quarter with a 9-9 draw . In the second quarter Norwich were strong in defence denying space around our attacking D. With some great movement from the attackers and some excellent turnovers from Danella, the team increased their intensity , finishing the quarter only one goal down , chasing the score of 16-15 . Going into the second half of the match , our aim was to slow play down and not force the ball into our attacking D . The team took this on board , and our centre passes were accurately received and converted. Exceptional defending from Elissa and Beth in the D, fighting to win every ball and turning over play. At the end of the third quarter we were two goals up, the score a tense 23-21 . In the final quarter , despite fatigue setting in, the team powered on. Shooting accuracy from Orla and Olivia saw Cambridge push ahead . Our circle defending and strong attack on the ball meant that the goal rate rocketed and the match ended a 41-33 win for Cambs . Well done to all the girls that played; great intensity of work especially with no subs .
