ROOKIES STAR SELECTED TO PLAY FOR ENGLAND U21 NETS TEAM FOR WORLD CHAMPS

We are delighted to announced that Emma Linnett from Rookies Netball Club, has been selected to play for the England U21 Nets team that are travelling to South Africa in August to play in the World Indoor Nets Championships.

Emma was selected after a series of trails last year from over 200 players and she found out recently that she is one of the 14 players that have this exciting opportunity to represent England.

Emma was part of our Cambridgeshire county satellites and is currently a member of Rookies netball club where she plays in their regional & county teams. She is also a qualified umpire and umpire’s regularly in the Wisbech league, JDG county league and the Fenland Youth League.

The cost of the trip is over £3000 which Emma has to fund for herself, which includes flights, travel, accommodation & all the kit. Rookies as a club are doing lots of fundraising events to support Emma, including raffles and are also organising a tournament on Saturday 8 June which is open to all teams within CDNL, WNL, WNNL and HNPL!
