County and Regional Schools Tournaments

The County Schools Tournaments were held in November 2015.

10 Schools entered the U19’s and 22 teams played in the U14/U16.

The standard of netball was very high again this year, in particular the U19 Tournament where extra time was needed in the final. Eventually Hills Road won 4-2 against The Perse.

U16 winners were Thomas Deacon who beat Stephen Perse 9-8 and in the U14 final Impington Village College beat Stephen Perse 6-5.

All winners and runners up went on to represent Cambridgeshire in the Regional Tournament at Hassenbrook School on 30 January 2016. The teams were fighting for a top two spot in their pool to progress to the semi finals.

The U19 round saw Hills Road finishing 5th in their pool which included Norwich who went on to win the tournament. The girls enjoyed the day playing some really good netball against very strong sides. The Perse started well winning their first three matches, but then tougher opposition followed. They finished 3rd in their pool and left the tournament feeling very proud of their performance.

Impington Village College U14’s came 4th in their pool, they won three drew 1 and lost 2.

Both Stephen Perse teams finished 5th in their respective pools. They were really pleased with their performance this year as each team won a match for the first time.

The CCNA Committee would like to congratulate all teams and coaches on their achievement.
